Open View
conversion of an old building apartment
private project | Planning, commissioning and construction supervision
2022
The private project "Open View" involves the renovation of an attic apartment that was added to an old building in the early 2000s. The aim of the redesign was to create as much space as possible and to open up the rooms through well-thought-out planning. It was particularly important to maximize the view of the surroundings while creating a clear, minimalist structure that in turn leaves room for creative decorations.

The kitchen is the central element of this apartment and has been designed as an open space. The elegant dark blue tone, which covers both the kitchen surfaces and the wall, gives the room a modern, clear look. The lack of wall units above the worktop creates a calm, tidy atmosphere. The lack of a partition wall to the living area optimizes the transition and creates a spacious room that is perfect for shared living. A stylish kitchen island serves as a room divider and ensures a clear structure and division of the open area.

The bathroom was also thoroughly renovated and features a harmonious combination of natural materials and soft colors. Olive-green subway tiles combined with a new wooden washbasin create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The originally separate toilet was removed to create more space for storage and a more spacious bathroom design.
